My dear friends and blog readers....are you still there?  Have I neglected this blog or what!  Thankfully, the neglect is just a result of a lot of good things....traveling, lots of family/newborn/wedding shoots, and just the day to day life of being a mama and wife!  Back in August, we went up to Tahoe and had Ingrid (a film photographer) from Myrtle and Marjoram capture our little family.  I couldn't be any more in love with these images....I wish I could post them all!  My kids are changing so quickly and we knew the best gift we could give ourselves to celebrate 6 years of marriage was a little trip to our favorite place and getting our family photographed!   Here's a few of my favorites!

Well, hello there July!!  I can honestly say that for the past couple of months, time has been moving at just the right pace.  Not too fast and not too slow.  In May, I decided that I was tired of how fast time seemed to be going by and I needed to figure out a way to make it slow down.  Turns out, all that was needed was an adjustment in my thinking.  In general, I think changing your thought patterns can be a slow process.....but for some reason, I woke up on May 1st and thought, "I can't waste a single moment today" and I've challenged myself with this notion every day since.  Maybe I'm just growing up and growing older, but simply stopping to "take stock" of the passing moments of each day, saying thank you to God more, and limiting the time I spend online, has really helped my days feel more complete.  Do you have any tips on how to make the most of each day?  Or how to make time feel like it isn't going by so fast?  I'd love to know!!

PS--hope you enjoy these photos!!  When I heard there were puppies to photograph, my heart almost leaped from my chest :)

PSS-  do you notice anything different about the two pictures on top vs the two on the bottom?  That's right, they're twins!!

Summer couldn't have started any better.....we celebrated the boy's first birthday and then we celebrated Ryan's birthday!!  The evenings are warm and breezy, and the BBQ is getting put to use....this time of year is my favorite!!  This weekend, I'll be shooting a wedding that I've been looking forward to all year...and then I'm off to San Luis for a mini vacation and to visit friends (and hopefully some time at the beach!)

Stay tuned....I've got some fun portrait sessions I'll be sharing over the next few weeks.  For now, here's a few snaps of my kids from this past week :)

Aw...I love your kids. They're so adorable. That picture of wide-eyed Luke drinking with a straw from the milk bottle is my favorite. Runner-up is Riley and Remy in the playhouse.

There's really no other way to say this, than to just admit that I'm totally obsessed with my little boy :) I take pictures of him everyday, and Ryan and I usually argue over who gets to hold him.  When my little girl was a baby, I remember anxiously awaiting for her to meet the next developmental milestone (i.e crawling, walking), but now with my second baby, I don't want him to grow up and think it would be perfectly fine if he just stayed a little baby forever. *sigh*  As I get older, it becomes more of a reality to me that babies ARE miracles.

Oh, and the baby boy now shares a room with his sister.  So far so good :)

He looks like he always has a smile on his face. I feel the same way about O. I just want him to stay my baby as long as possible. But he has other plans and wants to keep up with his big brother.
